The Magical Talking Garden

In a cheerful village, where everyone was happy, there was a bright garden shimmering in the middle of the village. Legend says that the garden was once home to magical fairies who blessed it with the gift of speech.

But one day, all the fairies suddenly vanished. Grieving their loss, the garden stopped talking and took a vow never to speak to anyone again. However, it made one exception. It could only talk to people who had hearts full of pure love and desired nothing from it.

Since then, no one had been able to talk to the garden, no matter what they tried. Many people had even tried sowing more seeds to make it happy, but nothing worked.

One day, a curious girl named Lisa heard about it.

When no one was around, she went to the garden and quietly but gently asked in her sweet voice, "Dear garden, I don't know why you stay silent and talk to no one, but I have a small question to ask you. I don't want anything from you, but do you want anything from me?"

She paused, then continued, "If you do, please whisper in my ear what you want, and I will try to fulfil it."

Suddenly, Lisa heard a faint whisper in her ear.

"My dear Lisa, I only want someone like the fairies to love me. Until now, I did not talk to anyone because they were all greedy. But today, when I met you, you showed me true love and care. Instead of asking for something for yourself, you asked me if I wanted something from you."

The voice paused, and then she heard it again.

"You showed me true friendship, and I loved your calm but loving nature. If you wish, can we be friends?"

The voice stopped, and Lisa looked around. There was no one in sight! That meant the garden had actually talked to her!

She then happily shrieked, "Yes, yes, my dear garden! I would love to be friends with you!"

Then she heard the voice again, now happier.

"Oh, dear Lisa, can you do me a favour? Please do not tell anyone about this incident."

The voice stopped, waiting for her answer.

"Okay," she said quickly. She was very happy. "I will guard you from now on, and you can talk to me whenever you want, as we are friends!"

The garden spoke once more.

"Yeah! Thank you! Bye for now, dear garden! We will talk later!" said Lisa, earning the magic garden's trust and support forever.
