The Dwarf Who Never Gave Up
Once upon a time, there was a dwarf named Sam. Sam lived in a quiet and cheerful town where ordinary-sized humans lived. Sadly, Sam did not have any friends, and he lived all alone in his little house. Every evening, he used to sit near the window and watch the children happily chatting and spending time together.
One day, he decided to go out and make some friends. Bravely, he stepped out of his house and started walking towards the children. But because he was shy by nature, his bravery vanished as soon as they turned around to answer his “Hi!”
“Umm... h... hi... hi, c... ca... can... we... you... umm... can we be... fr... fr... friends?” Sam asked, finally managing to say something.
“Why not?” said one of the children.
“But you still haven't told us your name,” said another.
“My name is Sam,” said Sam, finally gaining more courage.
From that day on, Sam chatted and spent time with his new friends, no longer feeling lonely. They all used to visit different places, just for fun.
One day, they went to a cave which was actually the home of a big, sleeping snake. The snake woke up when they entered the cave. Before anyone could react, it spotted Sam, who was much smaller than the others, and swallowed him first.
The other children were terrified and didn't know what to do. But Sam didn't give up. Inside the snake's belly, he gathered all his courage and fought back. He managed to kill the snake from the inside before it could attack his friends.
When the snake finally stopped moving, his friends carefully opened its mouth and rescued Sam. He was badly bruised and in pain, but he was alive!
His friends thanked him for saving their lives. Sam felt happy because he had managed to help the people he cared about.
From that day on, Sam understood something important: you don't have to be big or strong to make a big difference. Sometimes, even the smallest person can be the bravest of all.
